Comparison of Calories

Zipfizz includes a very low amount of calories whereas Celsius includes zero calories in its formula.

Zipfizz is a low-calorie drink that proves to be a healthy drink if you’re trying to lose weight or are on a strict calorie diet. Zipfizz can be just right for you if you get enough of a boost while still being able to eat your other calorie faves.

Celsius, on the other hand, is completely committed to its claims. Fitness fanatics may not contemplate eating extra calories because it would interfere with their goals; thus, getting your hands on a zero-calorie drink such as Celsius can prove to be a great deal for you.

According to the NIH, as a universal guideline for healthful grown-ups, the calorie absorption must be 2,500 calories per day for men and 2,000 calories per day for women.

Side Effects of Calories

The possible side effects of consuming too many calories are listed below.

  • Cardiovascular diseases
  • Risk of type 2 diabetes
  • Gallstones
  • Cancers, especially endometrial cancer

Comparison of Carbohydrates

Both of the beverages contain a small but equal portion of carbohydrates that is 2g per serving.

Whichever brand you choose, you won’t get extra carbohydrates, and to me, that is what good news sounds like. Carbohydrates are another form of calorie which assists in boosting energy but has a factor in gaining weight too.

Too much of this nutrient can make a risk of heart disease, mortality, and CVD, so you need sufficient carbohydrates for the day to boost up your energy.

According to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans (DGA), carbohydrates should take up to 45% to 65% of your total calorie consumption, which means 900 to 1300 calories must come from carbohydrates if you’re consuming around 2000 calories every day.

Either of the two is great as they provide as little as 2g of carbs which won’t make such a big difference. If you’re on a strict diet that counts your caloric or carbohydrates consumption, Celsius is your friend here.

Side Effects of Carbohydrates

The following are the possible side effects of consuming too many carbohydrates.

  • Weight gain
  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Poor metabolic health
  • High blood sugar

Comparison of Sodium

Celsius includes 10mg of sodium whereas Zipfizz holds 75mg sodium per serving.

Celsius being the fitness drink has 10mg of sodium which is a considerate volume but not up to the mark like Zipfizz. Being a fitness freak or simply a gym enthusiast, you’d spend a lot of your stamina and electrolytes in between workouts, so you’d want yourself to keep hydrated.

This is good news, too, as you don’t require large amounts of sodium to work for your body. In this case, the sodium acts by regulating the thirst mechanism and aids keep the body hydrated by retaining water which is beneficial to maintain strenuous physical activities.

On the other hand, Zipfizz has just the amount that can be called a healthy beverage because you need to stay hydrated every day to function because dehydration might make you feel fatigued and lazy.

What matters the most is that both of the drinks have sodium content within the limits set by FDA which is 2300mg per day.

Side Effects of Sodium

The side effects of consuming too much sodium have been given below.

  • High blood pressure
  • Heart disease
  • Kidney problem

Comparison of Sugar

Both Celsius On-The-Go and Zipfizz are sugar-free beverages.

As you can see, neither of these drinks has any sugar, which is a huge plus in my book. This means you won’t have to worry about getting a sugar crash.

When the effects of caffeine wear off, too much sugar can cause health problems like high blood pressure, diabetes, tooth decay, cravings, and headaches.

Both of these drinks use artificial sweeteners to enhance the taste, but being sugar-free doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice flavor.

A spoonful of sugar with a raspberry topping.
Almost every energy drink includes, but thankfully Celsius On-The-Go and Zipfizz are sugar-free.

Artificial Sweetener Used

Sucralose is the common artificial sweetener among these energy beverages. But Celsius also includes erythritol whereas Zipfizz contains xylitol along with sucralose.

Both Celsius and Zipfizz utilize two types of artificial sweeteners. Sucralose is calorie-free while xylitol has fewer calories.

If you prefer to have no calories, then Celsius is your best choice. Sucralose is 600 times sweeter than sugar and is non-nutritive.

Artificial sweeteners may have a negative image in front of the public but it has been confirmed by the FDA that sucralose, xylitol, and erythritol are safe to be used by humans.

This means there isn’t going to be any sugar crash, and the risk of diabetes will eventually be diminished.

Side Effects of Artificial Sweeteners

The following are the possible side effects of having artificial sweeteners.

  • Headaches
  • Dizziness
  • Digestive problems
  • Rashes
  • Diarrhea

Comparison of Caffeine

Celsius On-The-Go includes 200mg of caffeine whereas Zipfizz holds 120mg of caffeine per serving.

Caffeine is a natural stimulant that stimulates your brain and central nervous system which operates by blocking off the adenosine receptors, thus suppressing feelings of fatigue and tiredness.

Zipfizz here has an adequate volume of caffeine, just enough to feel the effects of caffeine but not as strong as you will feel with Celsius.

Celsius has half of the daily recommended caffeine intake by the FDA that is 400mg. It makes me think twice before having one, as it can result in deadly side effects if overdosed.

The prescribed limit by FDA, fo a healthy individual should be no more than 400mg. This is done to counter side effects such as insomnia, headaches, lack of concentration.

Side Effects of Caffeine

The conceivable side effects of consuming too much caffeine are enumerated in the listing below.

  • Agitation
  • Black, tarry stools
  • Blood in the stools or urine
  • Bruising
  • Burning feeling or tenderness in the stomach
  • Chills

Comparison of Celsius On-The-Go and Zipfizz

It’s time to look into the nutrition side of their formula now that the central ingredients are out of the way. Aside from the boost and concentration, it’s vital to know how many advantages you’re getting.

Zipfizz contains more vitamins than Celsius, which can be a plus if you want a few caffeinated drinks.

I have added a table below to show you the basic difference of vitamins between these two energy drinks.

Zipfizz is far more nutritious than Celsius in terms of vitamins. Zipfizz includes all of the B vitamins except B7 whereas Celsius only has six vitamins.

These vitamins are good on their own, but Zipfizz is your best bet if you’re seeking a stronger nitrifying drink.

Despite the fact that Celsius contains biotin and niacin, Zipfizz offers a number of advantages. Vitamin B is critical for enhancing your energy and cognitive abilities.

Minerals and Electrolytes

In terms of nutrition, Zipfizz includes more minerals and electrolytes in its formula than Celsius On-The-Go.

Now is the time to take a look at what Zipizz and Celsius have to offer you in terms of minerals and electrolytes, both being beneficial inclusions in any formula.

I have added a table below to show the difference of minerals and electrolytes added in both the energy beverages.

The comparison of minerals and electrolytes between Celsius and Zipfizz.

As you can see, Zipfizz clearly regards the lead here, too, as richer in minerals than Celsius.

Only Zipfizz has manganese, copper, selenium, potassium, zinc, and magnesium in its formulation, which is advantageous for your bones, the production of red blood cells, and the production of inevitable proteins in the body.

Amino Acids

Both of the energy drinks have taurine as amino acids in their formula.

Taurine has indispensable roles in our body, such as maintaining support nerve growth, regulating calcium levels in certain cells, balancing electrolytes in the body, and creating bile salts.

With this good of an advantage, it’s fortunate both drinks have the ingredient in their formulas.

Side Effects of Taurine

The side effects of taurine have been provided below.

  • Blood-thinning
  • Changes to heart rate
  • Brain damage
  • Might trigger mania
  • Digestive problems

Comparison of Price

Evidently, Zipfizz is a bit more expensive than Celsius, but that’s because it has more servings.

Price is something that everyone considers when deciding whether or not to put that hold in their pocket, and both brands are likely to differ in this scenario.

I have added a table below to show the price comparison of both energy beverages.

Energy DrinkPriceNumber of ServingsPrice Per Serving
Price comparison of Celsius and Zipfizz.

Zipfizz costs around $1.89 per serving, which isn’t too bad.

Celsius, on the other hand, provides fewer servings per pack for a lower price, which is understandable. It works out to around $1.18 per serving, which isn’t much more than Zipfizz.

In the end, Zipfizz is a better option in my opinion, as it offers bigger commitment and a longer gap between purchases.

Flavors of Celsius On-The-Go and Zipfizz

Zipfizz offers a greater variety of flavors than Celsius energy drink.

This is frequently a deal-breaker. Limited options can be frustrating for fussy eaters, and because these are mostly flavor-focused, they can quickly become monotonous.

Flavors of Celsius On-The-Go

Celsius has a total of 12 flavors that you can decide from.

  • Strawberry Guava

  • Orange
  • Kiwi Guava
  • Wildberry
  • Watermelon
  • Grape Rush
  • Cola
  • Raspberry Acai
  • Green Tea

This is a good amount of flavors, with names that are pretty straightforward which means you don’t have to guess what they’re supposed to taste.

Zipfizz has a total of 14 flavors and has a fruity theme.

  • Black cherry

Zipfizz has a couple more flavors than Celsius, which isn’t honestly that big of a rift. Similarly, its essences are fruit-themed.

There isn’t much of a difference between the two, as they’re both relatively straightforward. You’ll be able to discover a flavor you enjoy with the opportunity to vary it around from time to time.

Where to buy Celsius On-The-Go and Zipfizz?

Celsius and Zipfizz are both available for purchase in a variety of online stores.

I have added a table to show you the places from where you can order both beverages.

The comparison of places to buy both the beverages.

If you’re used to purchasing online, you’ll appreciate how handy this is. There’s no need to get out of bed and exert yourself when you can make your purchase with only a few mouse clicks.

The only drawback is that when you order online, the drink takes a few days longer to arrive due to the shipping costs. It’s easier to go to the nearby store and get those tasty drinks, but neither brand currently offers this.

Zipfizz advertises itself as a healthy drink, and it is, as you can see, thanks to its extensive list of vitamins, minerals, and electrolytes. These nitrifying additions can be a deal-breaker, even if Celsius is catching up on everything else.

Celsius On-The-Go is a decent energy beverage that includes essential vitamins and minerals but the amount of caffeine is very high compared to Zipfizz.

In my opinion, Zipfiizz is a good choice because it contains less caffeine and won’t cause significant caffeine withdrawals. It also has the necessary nutrients to keep you supple.
