The ingredients determine the safety of any product they comprise.

You must assess the ingredients of food & beverage items before determining their safety.

But, if you keep reading, I will also briefly explain the ingredients in this product below.

So, what are the ingredients that comprise Zipfizz’s energy drink powder?

These are the ingredients found in Zipfizz.

This is a list of the ingredients found on the label of the tube. As you can see, there is no sugar and artificial coloring in Zipfizz.

However, take note that the ingredients statement from Zipfizz is not verified by the Food and Drug Administration.

Let’s start to analyze the elements.

First off is caffeine. According to Zipfizz’s claim, each serving contains 100 mg of caffeine.

Now, how much caffeine is good or bad for health?

Research suggests that up to 400 mg daily caffeine intake is the safe limit for adults and 2.5-3 mg per kg of body weight daily for children and adolescents.

And, for a pregnant woman, research recommendation is not to take more than 200 mg of caffeine. Anything more of that can cause miscarriage.

A cup of instant coffee can contain 55-65 mg caffeine while brewed coffee’s caffeine is around 107-151 mg.

In comparison, as you go through Zipfizz’s caffeine level, you can see that each tube contains 100 mg.

So you can consume up to about four servings a day and no more than that but I recommend taking less than that daily if possible.

Sucralose

Sucralose is an artificially synthesized sweetener used in products like soft drinks. In Zipfizz, this is used in combination with xylitol as an alternative to natural sugar. Sucralose is also 600 times sweeter than natural sugar and low in calories.

But, scientists are yet to determine how artificial sugar like sucralose impacts the human body since some studies show that it increases blood sugar levels but some show that it is completely safe.

Considering this, it is better to consume in moderation.

Is Zipfizz bad for your kidneys?

No, it’s not bad when consumed moderately but using too much is another matter. According to research, high consumption of energy drinks can negatively affect renal function possibly due to the production of free radicals.

This was observed in mice but their body functions are close enough to humans that it’s possible our bodies will react in the same way.

Take note that kidney problems caused by excessive intake of energy drinks are rarely reported but it is still possible.

If you are pregnant or suffering from acute kidney disease, you might want to avoid energy drinks.

Is Zipfizz bad for your teeth?

Zipfizz is generally not bad for your teeth if you take proper care of them after usage.

Keep in mind, however, constant consumption of energy drinks may wear away the debris layer on the surface of your teeth and cause them to be hypersensitive.

As Zipfizz is acidic and contains artificial sugar sucralose, it may negatively affect dental health over the long term.

So always practice proper dental health hygiene like regularly brushing your teeth.

Is Zipfizz bad for your heart?

No, it’s not bad when taken moderately but, generally speaking, any energy drink poses a heart health risk to some extent, increasing heart rate and blood pressure.

Uncontrolled increases in heart rate are often harmless but can be dangerous if you have pre-existing heart conditions like atrial fibrillation.

Energy drinks have been linked to elevated blood pressure and stress hormone levels in young adults. According to the Mayo Clinic, drinking 16 ounces of any energy drink a day increases blood pressure by 6% and stress levels by 74%.

It’s not only Zipfizz that may be bad for your heart health but all energy drinks in general. So drink these substances moderately and consult a doctor if you have pre-existing health conditions.

Does Zipfizz have side effects on the liver?

Moderate intake of Zipfizz doesn’t affect the liver adversely. But, taking excessive amounts constantly can create a hepatotoxic effect.

Like I mentioned earlier, this is not exclusive to Zipfizz but applies to all energy drinks.

Does Zipfizz cause weight gain?

As Zipfizz claims, their product does not cause weight gain and, as such, would be a great help when you need energy while dieting.

They mention that this is possible because they use low calories and artificial sugars, xylitol, and sucralose instead of sugar.

But, according to research, there’s some evidence that artificial sugars like sucralose can lead to an increase in fat accumulation

Zipfizz energy drinks Side Effects (Does it have any?)
