Celsius On-The-Go includes 20 calories per serving.

A calorie is an energy complement. Scientists have traditionally distinguished “calorie” as a complement of energy or heat derived from various references, such as coal or gas. In terms of subsistence, all foods — fats, proteins, carbs, and sugars — are vital reservoirs of calories that individuals require to live and act.

Calories are stated on all food packaging in the nutritional balanced information. Calorie restriction is at the heart of many weight-loss approaches. The amount of potential energy in food is circumscribed by the number of calories it contains. The substance from which the calories are procured is just as notable as the calories themselves.

To sustain, the human body needs calories. The body’s cells would perish without energy, the heart and lungs would cease beating, and the organs would be unable to carry out the basic functions required for survival.

Sugar in Celsius On-The-Go

Celsius On-The-Go contains zero added sugar in their formula.

Sugar is the most uncomplicated group of carbohydrates, consisting of a variety of sweet, colorless, water-soluble particles found in seed plants’ sap and mammals’ milk.

Different sugar variations can be made by minor changes to the cleaning, crystallizing, and drying processes and modifying the molasses content. Sugars with varied crystal sizes have distinct functional properties, making them suited for different foods and beverages.

The amount of molasses left on or added to the crystals determines the color of the sugar, which imparts pleasant flavors and changes the moisture content. The color and flavor of sugar change when it is heated. Some sugars are solely utilized in the food industry and are therefore unavailable in supermarkets.

To keep all of this in perspective, it’s helpful to remember the American Heart Association’s recommendations for sugar admission that men should absorb no more than 9 teaspoons (36 grams or 150 calories) of attached sugar per day, and women, the number is lower 6 teaspoons (25 grams or 100 calories) per day.

Does Celsius On-The-Go really boost metabolism and burn calories?

Celsius On-The-Go includes ingredients that help boost metabolism and burn calories but not how they market it.

Celsius contains MetaPlus, a proprietary blend that determines thermogenesis to accelerate metabolism and increase caloric burn. It contains green tea extracts, egg, guarana extracts, taurine, and ginger root extract.

According to the Celsius officials, they have research papers backing their claim. However, upon reading the research papers, I have come to the conclusion that Celsius went way overboard with its marketing.

Although Celsius™ contains a proprietary mixture of several physiologically active ingredients, it is likely that three of them, caffeine, green tea, and perhaps guarana extract are largely accountable for the observed thermogenic effects.

Only the caffeine content is responsible for the temporary metabolic change. Now I am wondering why they bothered with the research papers.

Caffeine is a naturally transpiring stimulant that is already in tea, coffee, and cocoa plants. It operates by activating the brain and central nervous system, restraining you from falling asleep, and preventing fatigue.

Caffeine is naturally present in a variety of foods and beverages, including coffee, tea, colas, energy drinks, and chocolate. Kola nuts, guarana, and yerba mate are all botanical reservoirs of caffeine. Caffeine is also included in over-the-counter and prescription drugs.

Caffeine is thought to activate the neurological system, heart, and muscles by increasing the release of “neurotransmitters,” which are molecules found in the brain.

Green tea contains antioxidants and other compounds that may help protect the heart and blood vessels.

The seeds of the guarana plant are crumbled into a powder to obtain guarana extract. Caffeine, theophylline, and theobromine are just a few of the stimulants detected in them. Antioxidants detected in guarana include tannins, saponins, and catechins.

Final Thoughts

Celsius On-The-Go includes essential vitamins and minerals. It boosts energy and increases mental alertness. But I am still rating it 6.5 out of 10 due to its false marketing method.

The caffeine content is high and can bring negative effects on health. On top of that, Celsius is bragging about being able to increase metabolism and burning fat with the help of their research papers.

I have already explained the emptiness of the research papers they have submitted, and I am disappointed with this deception. Hence, I gave this energy beverage a low rating.
